Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) seeks a Lead Systems Engineer to join our team in Tukwila, Washington, which is in the Puget Sound area.
Position Responsibilities:
Apply an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify complex lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions.Evaluate customer and operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters, and assure compatibility of all physical, functional, and program interfaces.Perform various analyses to optimize total system of systems or system architecture.Perform analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance, and other quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success.Develop, maintain, and identify improvements for planning, organization, implementation, and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management, and technology readiness assessment.Resolve cross-functional technical issues.
To meet security standards and protocols, all work is performed onsite in Tukwila, WA.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim or final U.S. Top Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.5+ years of experience in Systems Engineering.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience with spacecraft or space systems architecture.Experience in development, build, and test of spacecraft.Experience with requirements development, verification, validation, ICDs, risk, issues and opportunities management and trade studies.Experience utilizing Model Based Engineering (MBE or MBSE) tools.Tier 5 investigation highly desired.
Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary pay range: 128,350 – 173,650.
