Find your future with us.Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Mobility, Surveillance & Bombers (MS&B) Organization is seeking a Lead Systems Engineer to take on the responsibility as the Digital System Model Architect for the E-7A program in Tukwila, WA.
This critical position will leverage and benefit from experience in Digital System Model integration, organization and execution, and strategic thinking. You will be joining a Systems Engineering, Integration and Test (SEIT) Integrated Product Team (IPT) working with system engineers and other engineering disciplines across all program functions. You will be responsible for the execution of the Digital System Model product and statement of work, utilizing the model to deliver products to our customers.
The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated history of performance in model architecture operating throughout the course of engineering and operations lifecycles. Successful candidates are highly motivated and exhibit strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. They will also demonstrate the ability to work independently and effectively with external customers and subcontractors in a multi-site and multi-discipline program and environment.
Candidates are expected to be strong advocates for Model-Based Engineering, the implementation of models on Boeing programs, and educate program leadership on the importance and requirements of model integration when needed. They will excel in both the engineering technical acumen and excellence required for this role while also being an engaging and motivating team leader.
Position Responsibilities:
Ensure engineering integrity, first-time quality, and efficient execution of activities through use of the Digital System Model.Work closely with all IPTs through working groups to successfully drive the use of the Digital System Model.Own and manage execution of your Statement of Work for the USAF E-7A program including Contract Data Requirement List (CDRL) deliverables and prescribed process-oriented functions.Actively partner with program leadership to ensure program objectives are accomplished.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.5+ years of experience with systems engineering processes and tools.3+ years of experience creating Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) models in Cameo, Magic Systems of Systems Architect (MSOSA), or similar software.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience with Systems Modeling Language (SysML) and Unified Architecture Framework (UAF).Previous experience implementing model-based approaches on engineering projects/programs, ensuring seamless integration of delivered models within the receiving architecture and digital engineering platform.Experience with model-derived Concept of Operations (ConOps) requirements development, interface control documentation, technical specification review, architecture development.Experience integrating multiple stakeholders with unique objectives to operate within a common integrated digital environment.Experience in engineering of large-scale systems and overall systems engineering disciplines.Experience in military aircraft modification programs.Excellent communications skills, verbal and written.Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of management, customers, and partners.Ability to build a safe environment of inclusion, transparency, and trust.Previous experience in leading, mentoring, and engaging individuals and teams.Experience providing active mentorship and career guidance
