Research, Development & Innovation (RDI), a division of Indirect Supply Chain, is seeking a Mid-Level or Lead Procurement Agent to join our team located in Huntington Beach, CA; North Charleston, SC; Portland, OR; Tukwila, WA; Hazelwood, MO or Mesa, AZ.

You will play a crucial role in supporting Boeing's University Partnership Program, collaborating with top global universities on research and development to build the future of Boeing. You will be responsible for establishing and managing research and development (R&D) collaboration agreements with selected universities, aligning to Boeing’s business strategy and objectives, and securing the best value for The Boeing Company.

This is an exciting opportunity to drive cutting edge research by developing and executing on source selection, negotiation and contracting strategies that support the program objectives.

Position Responsibilities:

Execute Master Research Agreements (MRA), collaboration agreements, Intellectual Property Agreements, and other contract types as requiredAnalyze pricing proposals and cost estimates to determine fairness, reasonableness, and cost-effectivenessNegotiate contract pricing and terms and conditions to maximize valueIdentify and mitigate risks associated with procurement activities, including supplier performance, contract terms, and delivery schedulesParticipate in supply chain process improvement teams and identify improvement opportunities for potential integration into supplier contract strategiesDevelop and execute company strategic business goals and objectivesConsult on proposal analyses and development of negotiation strategiesEmbrace a lean mindset and identify efficiencies that can be implementedTrain and mentor junior team members

This position is hybrid. This means the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

5+ years of experience working directly with suppliers or supplier management5+ years of experience in negotiating contracts or managing supplier performance5+ years of experience in proposal development5+ years of experience working with universities or other public research organizations

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience5+ years of work experience in a research and development focused roleExperience working within a globally dispersed teamBachelor’s degree or higher

Typical Education/Experience:

Typically 10 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Travel:

Position may require travel up to 20% of the time.

Summary pay range: $95,200-$138,000
