Find your future with us.The Boeing Company is seeking a Java Full Stack and AWS DevOps Developer (Mid-level or Senior) to join our Manufacturing Quality Information Technology Team in Hazelwood, MO; Seattle, WA; or North Charleston, SC.
A successful candidate will bring relevant and practical software engineering experience from previous roles to their new position in support of the full software life cycle. The position will be responsible for full stack development and maintenance of multiple existing Manufacturing Quality Enterprise applications.
The ideal candidate has a growth mindset, initiates improvements and innovations, demonstrates adaptability, executes organizational strategy, and has a strong interest in learning new technologies and the Boeing Manufacturing Quality business processes.
Position Responsibilities:
Maintains multiple software systems
Develops, deploys, and maintains multiple Java/Oracle applications
Develops, deploys, and maintains multiple applications in other development languages and technologies, learning them as needed
Maintains system security compliance
Maintains technical debt remediation system
Performs system Change and Configuration Management
Performs production support across the enterprise to resolve software and infrastructure issues
Supports regulatory compliance and quality audits
Continues to learn system functionality and infrastructure, business operation processes, and new technologies and methodologies
Sets up, migrates, optimizes, and maintains Amazon Web Services (AWS) DevOps environments
Supports provisioning and configuration of development, test, and production environments and deployment of application components
Builds, tests, and deploys automation, monitoring and analysis solutions
Identifies and leads investigations of technical and reliability issue
Creates and recommend process improvements
Builds and integrates complex software tools to improve reliability and scalability
Develops and documents best practices for provisioning, platform scaling, configuration management, monitoring, and troubleshooting
Executes Boeing Information Technology (IT) Strategies & Objectives including AWS Cloud migration, DevOps, Scaled Agile Software Engineering, AI Code Assistant Software Engineering, and Automation
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
5+ years of experience in software development
5+ years of professional experience in Java Full Stack Development
5+ years of experience with data integration development and maintenance
5+ years of Oracle PL/SQL development experience
3+ years of experience in DevOps practices such as continuous integration and continuous deployment, configuration management, security analysis and cloud computing, preferably using AWS Cloud
1+ years of experience programming using python
1+ years of experience in software development life cycles, configuration management and best agile software engineering practices
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience and proficiency in multi-system data integrations
Experience in Artificial Intelligence (AI) Code Assisted Software Engineering
Experience and proficiency in Azure DevOps, JIRA, and GitLab
Experience and proficiency in Coverity and NetSparker
Experience with effective, comprehensive communication skills, written and verbal
Experience working with a sense of urgency, makes progress on multiple priorities, and delivers as planned
Experience collaborating with teammates, business partners, and IT Infrastructure and Operation partners
Experience with a growth mindset, initiates improvements and innovations, demonstrates adaptability, and executes organizational transformation
Experience with continued technical and business operations professional development

Summary pay range for Mid-Level: $107,950 – $156,400
Summary pay range for Senior Level: $132,600 – $192,050
