The Boeing Company is seeking Integral Fuel Cell Sealers to join our teams supporting Boeing Commercial Airplanes in our Everett location in Washington State! This is an exciting opportunity that completes one of the most critical processes essential to aircraft performance and function.

As an Integral Fuel Cell Sealer, you will work within a final assembly environment by drawing on knowledge acquired from training and certification classes to complete your daily assigned work. By interpreting drawings and reading/comprehending work instructions you will be responsible for identifying your work (task) location on the airplane/part/tooling and identifying all required hand tools, proper sealant, and equipment to accomplish defect-free work.

Position Responsibilities:

Utilize computer systems in a production environment.

Retrieve, comprehend, and analyze technical work instructions, drawings, and specifications.

Perform tasks such as cleaning, sealing, closing, and testing integral fuel tanks on aircraft. Additionally, may be responsible for sealing exterior wing surfaces and performing assembly work.

Work in confined spaces within wing fuel cells, requiring entry through an 18-inch X 10-inch opening.

Wear appropriate protective clothing and equipment based on the assigned task.

Install necessary ventilation equipment to ensure fresh air supply in confined work areas.

Operate various types of mechanical lifts, including ladders, scissors lifts, and snorkel lifts.

Utilize chemical solvents, sealants, coatings, primers, adhesives, paints, and special finishes.

Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure quality and check for Foreign Object Debris (FOD) in accordance with testing requirements.

Perform finger manipulation tasks, such as keyboarding.

Read from computer screens, printed drawings, or documents.

Work safely around energized sources, including electrical equipment and hazards/shock, such as circuit breakers and wiring.

Engage in finger manipulation through typing.

Work for extended periods (3-6 hours) in environments with fumes and chemicals, constant noise, and confined spaces.

Engage in frequent (3-6 hours) flexion/extension movements (e.g., bending down, bending back), handling tasks, kneeling, waist bending, overhead reaching, head/neck rotation, standing, waist twisting, and various lying and walking positions.

Lift and carry objects weighing between 10-35 pounds.

Perform climbing/balancing tasks (e.g., stairs, ladders, poles, scaffolding, inclined surfaces), crawling, and crouching (squatting)

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

1+ years of experience applying paints and/or sealants in an industrial environment.

Ability to access/enter a wing fuel tank opening (approximately 18-inch x 10-inch opening).

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

1+ years of experience with various types of handheld power tools.

1+ years of experience following oral and written instructions.

1+ years of experience with chemical technology or a material focus area: paints, coatings, finishes, and/or sealants.

Enrolled in a Boeing partnered manufacturing related high school or community and technology college academic program.

Typical Education & Experience:

High School Diploma and/or General Education Diploma (GED).

Relocation:

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business consideration.

Summary pay range: $25.50 - $44.08 per hour.
