As an Inspector Customer Coordinator in the Factory, you will be essential in maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety during the inspection process. Your role will involve collaborating with customer inspectors to ensure that fabricated parts, assemblies, and systems meet stringent quality specifications. You will leverage your expertise to troubleshoot issues and implement corrective actions while working closely with engineering and quality assurance teams to drive continuous improvement.
This position requires a keen eye for detail, as well as the ability to navigate confined spaces, including accessing wing fuel cells through an opening of 9.5”X17.7”. To ensure your effectiveness in this role, certification for visual acuity and color perception may be necessary, along with an annual fit test to confirm your readiness for confined space work.

Position Responsibilities:
Coordinate and monitor the work of customer inspectors performing fabrication, assembly, installation, and testing inspections throughout the manufacturing process.
Address customer inquiries regarding quality procedures, manufacturing functions, engineering drawing interpretations.
Work with and oversee lower classified inspectors to ensure thorough inspections of items before customer review.
Initiate and document any nonconforming materials, hardware, or assemblies according to specifications and procedures.
Perform audits and surveillance of all manufacturing and quality assurance processes to ensure compliance.
Troubleshoot problems and develop plans to resolve issues, investigating Trouble Reports as required.
Plan and arrange the sequence of work assignments for yourself and lower classified inspectors, coordinating with responsible personnel.
Collaborate with other quality groups, departments, the FAA, and customers to accomplish work assignments.
Use and interpret production flow charts, shop mathematics, and quality documents to complete work assignments.
Conduct shakedown inspections of parts, assemblies, and installations for alignment, fit, and compliance with specifications.
Review the area for cleanliness and ensure it is safe and accessible for customer or FAA inspections.
Coordinate the scheduling of anticipated customer or FAA inspections, notifying appropriate parties as required.
Perform inspections on behalf of customers when their representatives are unavailable, ensuring thorough evaluations.
Supply customers with sensitive Non-Conformance Records (NCR) for their review and maintain accurate documentation.
Maintain personal certifications required for the coordinator role based on program needs.
Physical Demands and Potential Hazards:
Perform physical tasks that include lifting weights ranging from 10-15 lbs. to 15-35 lbs.
Engage in various movements such as reaching, handling, turning, twisting, lifting, lowering, climbing, balancing, bending, kneeling, crouching, and squatting.
Work in environments that may involve contact with metals, solvents, and coolants.
Operate in proximity to moving parts and tools, sharp cutters, and potential slipping hazards.
Adapt to varying noise levels and atmospheric conditions.
Utilize personal safety gear to protect face/eyes, hands/arms, and feet while performing job duties.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work on-site at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in Quality Assurance in related areas, such as aerospace, military, or similar industry.
3+ years of experience coordinating resolutions to customer questions regarding quality procedures, manufacturing functions, company standards, engineering drawing interpretation.
3+ years of experience inspecting aircraft/aerospace parts, components, and/or assemblies for conformance with applicable drawings, specifications, quality standards, and manufacturing plans.
Experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS).
Ability to work in Confined Spaces (work within or pass through). Entry diameter 9.5”X17.7”.
Ability to complete Fall Protection Training.
Preferred Qualifications:
Currently hold or previously held an A&P License.
Experience working with (CMES) Common Manufacturing Execution System.
Typical Education & Experience:
High school graduate or GED preferred.
