The Information Technology (IT) Project Management Specialist will set up and drive our operating model, strengthen our business operations and set the foundational processes for Workplace Solutions (WS).
The successful candidate will be a proactive leader capable of guiding a diverse team of technical professionals within Workplace Solutions. They will ensure that critical tasks are executed with precision and rigor, effectively managing and aligning multiple concurrent workflows to maintain optimal operational throughput.
Anticipate success in a dynamic business environment by fostering collaboration with colleagues and aligning various priorities with the strategic objectives of Workplace Solutions. Focus on enhancing efficiency, modernization, and financial performance within the Workplace Solutions strategy. Promote adoption and effective communication across the IT Business Partner (ITBP) community and the broader enterprise.
Position Responsibilities:
Create organizational standards (processes, templates, visuals, etc.) for use across WS
Ensure clear, concise project overview and status content is readily available for WS leaders
Manage milestones and tasks for all WS Program Management Office (PMO) activities
Provide strategic support to the leadership team via story boarding and visual prototyping
Prepare briefing materials, reports, and presentations for leadership
Drive strategic planning processes and track progress against organizational goals
Identify and resolve operational issues impacting executive effectiveness
Lead special projects as assigned by the executive leadership
Act as a liaison between the executive and internal/external stakeholders
Handle confidential information with discretion
Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities
Identify and lead process improvements across WS activities
Lead or sponsor strategic, high-visibility initiatives (often via delegated authority)
Prioritize the executive’s agenda; translate strategy into prioritized workstreams
Drive cross-functional alignment and remove organizational blockers
Represent the executive in leadership forums; follow up to ensure commitments are met
Monitor team performance and provide coaching and support to enhance team capabilities and effectiveness
Build and continuously update knowledge on common core processes following industry best practices and roll out to product owners for full adoption and adherence
Develop and implement integration strategies that align with business objectives and technical requirements
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
10+ years of experience in program or project management
5+ years of experience Integrated Project Management including the use of tools and metrics (i.e., earned value, schedule metrics, technical performance metrics, risk and opportunity tools)
5+ years of experience with project management and/or office administration
5+ years of experience establishing, improving and reinforcing functional discipline for first time quality performance, on-time delivery, and productivity improvements
5+ years of experience influencing and building strong relationships with stakeholders and partnerships across functions
5+ years of experience in a leadership role (i.e., manager, project manager, team lead, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor's degree or higher
Certifications such as SAFe, PMP, etc.
Experience with M365 and Microsoft Office Tools including Word, Outlook, Excel
Experience as a self-starter who can move through bureaucracy to enable execution and with credibility and integrity
