Find your future with us.Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is seeking a Senior Information Technologist – Product Manager to join our growing Data Analytics Manufacturing team in Ridley Park, Pennsylvania, Kent, Washington, Tukwila, Washington, or Hazelwood, Missouri! This team is tasked with transforming the way BDS data is sourced, managed, and utilized to unlock insights to drive business growth and optimization. The team supports data needs for internal stakeholders, across BDS business programs and functions, and is tasked with utilizing data to inform and improve the full lifecycle of BDS products.
As the Product Manager for our data team, you will oversee the development and implementation of data-driven solutions designed to optimize supply chain operations, engineering processes, and manufacturing efficiencies. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and drive the creation of analytics tools and platforms that enhance decision-making and operational performance.
This role requires a resourceful, self-driven, outcome-oriented individual with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to partner, execute, and communicate skillfully, while solving complex problems in dynamic environments. The ideal candidate will have experience with large scale data platforms, cloud computing, hybrid clouds, software development, and requirements management.
Position Responsibilities:
Collaborates with manufacturing, data management, and data platform teams to understand data requirements and translate them into actionable business solutions.Develops a strategic vision for data products and solutions that support supply chain, engineering, and manufacturing functions.Identifies and prioritize key areas where data analytics can drive improvements and add value.Creates and manage a product roadmap for data solutions, including key milestones and deliverables.Collaborates with stakeholders to define and prioritize product features based on business needs and user feedback.Develops and maintain a detailed plan for data product development, integration, and deployment. Manages the product backlog and prioritize it based on changing requirements.Oversees all stages of product creation including design, development, testing, and deploymentFacilitates communication between technical and non-technical teams to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables.Defines and documents product requirements, including data sources, data processing, and analytics capabilities.Oversees the design, development, and testing of data products, ensuring they meet quality and performance standards.Develops strong user stories that capture complete requirements and relate to portfolio valueDefines key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and impact of data solutions.Tracks and analyzes product performance metrics, preparing reports and presentations for senior management.Monitors and evaluates product progress at each stage of the process.Participates in Scrum meetings and product sprints as a leader and champion of the SAFe process.
This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at the listed locations. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
5+ years of experience in project or product management.Experience do you in Business Intelligence/Data Analytics tools and applications (such as IBM Cognos Analytics, SQL, Tableau, Google Analytics)Experience in database management, programming, statistical modeling and/or machine learning (SQL, R, Python, JMP, Tableau, etc.)Experience managing projects and utilizing standard project management toolsExperience in a role that required strong communication and interpersonal skillsExperience with agile development methodologies (Scrum, Lean, Kanban, etc.) and agile project management tools (JIRA, TFS, VersionOne, etc.)1+ years of experience with the Atlassian Product familyExperience working with large cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in at least one of the following fields: Business, Engineering, Computer Science or MathematicsExperience in Aerospace, Manufacturing, Quality, or experience in a regulated industry10+ years of experience in a leadership role within business or Information Technology1+ years of experience supporting and/or working on any cloud related technology or solution
Typical Education / Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience, 18 years' related work experience, etc.).
