Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking a Lead or Senior In-Service Maintenance Advisor to join the Product Development Chief Mechanic Office (PD CMxO) Team in Everett, WA. This role is pivotal in enhancing the supportability and maintainability of our aircraft, ensuring optimal production systems, and improving airline maintenance and logistics.

The role of the In-Service Maintenance Advisor is essential to Boeing Commercial Airplanes as it directly impacts the reliability, safety, and efficiency of our aircraft operations. By leveraging technical expertise in aircraft design supportability and maintainability, this position ensures that our products meet the highest standards of performance and customer satisfaction. The advisor plays a critical role in championing innovative maintenance technologies and advocating for best practices within the enterprise, which not only enhances the competitive advantage of Boeing but also fosters strong relationships with our customers. Position Responsibilities:

Primary back-up to the PD Chief MechanicLeverage strong technical expertise in aircraft design supportability and maintainability to influence product developmentChampion the research and development of innovative maintenance technologies that enhance Boeing's competitive advantage and benefit our customersAdvocate for customer operations and maintenance disciplines across the enterprise, developing technical performance standards and guidelinesProvide expert advice on regulatory matters and investigate emerging technical issues related to aircraft maintenanceServe as a key influencer in shaping the aircraft maintenance vision, impacting production system mechanics, and optimizing aircraft maintenance and operationsAct as a liaison between Boeing and customers, addressing maintenance-related concerns and driving improvements in customer processesRepresent Boeing maintenance in sales and marketing initiatives, emphasizing the importance of maintenance and reliability in aircraft design and supportSupporting future production system developmentEnabling a learning organization where our everyday thinking supports failure and celebrates successPromoting higher performance standards for ourselves and others, Operating as “One Boeing” and drive Respect for People cultureActing as the aircraft maintenance advocate responsible for ensuring a consistent approach to airplane build, test, maintenance, operational dispatch, reliability, durability, availability, lifecycle costs and impacts to our customersProviding design level guidance on human factors relating to aircraft maintenance and production tasks to minimize risk, optimize accessibility, and eliminate possible injury and human errorActively influencing new airplane programs and aftermarket deliverables to ensure efficient and practical alignment with the needs of our airline customers and regulatory agenciesApplying and sharing advanced troubleshooting techniques for production and aftermarket problem resolutionPossessing demonstrated technical excellence and persuasive qualities to effectively influence diverse audiencesMust be able to effectively partner with aircraft maintenance organizations, airlines, various internal organizations, regulators, supply base, and industry committeesCommunicating customer's in-service challenges to other Boeing organizations for practical understanding and design considerationSurveying and auditing customer technical operations while making recommendations to improve customer maintenance processesWork cross-functionally both with internal Boeing stakeholders, including Senior and Program Leadership, Chief Engineers, Chief Pilots, and Design Engineers, and with external stakeholders, including airline customers, regulators, and industry entitiesProvide guidance during requirements development and validation to ensure that our customers’ needs, and regulatory requirements are metInterface directly with various Boeing technical organizations throughout an aircraft’s entire development life cycle up to an including Entry-Into-Service

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Associate’s degree or higherA&P (Airframe and Powerplant) LicenseStrong communication and critical thinking skills are essential for effectively conveying the significance of aircraft maintenance and reliabilityProven experience in aircraft design, maintenance, and production systems optimizationAbility to collaborate with cross-functional teams and engage with customers to enhance maintenance practicesApplicable and appropriate educational/certification credentials from an accredited institution and/or equivalent experience is required

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range Lead: $108,800 - $147,200

Summary pay range Senior: $128,350 - $176,650
