Position Responsibilities:
Develops moderately complex conceptual designs, final designs, cost estimates and provides maintenance support for the architectural phases of buildings, equipment installations, utility systems and grounds.
Interprets and analyzes applicable regulations, standards, codes, and ordinances with respect to project requirements to assist with control design
Tailors project design documents to incorporate control requirements that meet control needs of engineering disciplines, outside consultants, facility standards, and regulatory/government agencies
Reviews and approves controls/building automation designs to assess compliance with customer requirements, building codes and applicable regulations by applying knowledge of construction principles, practices, and standard/consistent software design
Verifies equipment specifications, materials, and software included in final designs align with existing control infrastructure
Supports construction projects by providing input on vendor selection and proposal review
Ensures accuracy of drawing archives/libraries by reviewing contractor control drawing relined submittals after construction is complete and verifies redlines are incorporated into as-built drawings
Produces detailed design documents, project drawings, and specifications
Develops and updates design standards and site-specific operating procedures in order to establish common practices
Communicates problems and issues to others for resolution and provides maintenance support for the control/building automation systems for cranes
Provides input to strategic, short-term, and long-term infrastructure planning, recommending capital improvements if needed and works with both internal and external customers in order to identify and assess alternatives and impacts
Determines the cause of asset control failures and reduction in control asset capability by using reliability tools and methods (e.g., life cycle analysis, condition-based maintenance, mean time between failures, fault tree analysis, etc.)
Facilitates the implementation of improvements in control asset effectiveness, availability, and maintainability
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. 15% travel required within the Puget Sound area as business demands.
This position must meet export control compliance requirements. Tomeet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree or greater in an engineering related field
3+ years of experience reading & understanding engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specification
3+ years of experience in maintaining mechanical cranes and hoists systems including cables, chain sheaves and hooks
3+ years of experience using AutoCAD or similar CAD package
3+ years of experience in mechanical engineering role
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
5+ years of experience applying Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA), or other similar rigorous problem/analysis/resolution, processes to engineering development and manufacturing/production efforts
Typical Education/Experience:
Mid-Level:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Senior:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary pay range for Mid-Level (Level 3): $102,850 - $139,150
Summary pay range for Senior (Level 4): $119,850– $162,150
