Find your future with us.The Engineering Processes & Tools team has an opportunity for a Senior Engineering Technical Specialist supporting the Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) in Everett, Washington.
In this role you will Lead the development, documentation, implementation and consultation of the application of, and compliance with, requirements for the use of engineering tools, processes and standards. Guides training and provides subject matter expertise in the utilization of processes, tools and integration of engineering designs. Ensures regulatory requirements are met. Leads the validation of user access roles and the production of moderately complex job aids. Guides configuration management, coordination of changes, assessments of compliance and manages the implementation of product standards across company business units and programs. Represents Company interests on external standards committees and develops, adapts and/or adopts external standards for internal use. Directs the development, maintenance and distribution of engineering documents, reports and correspondence to enable business activity. Leads the collection, analysis and validation of engineering performance metrics and coordinates organizational requirements to support business needs. Works under minimal direction.
Position Responsibilities:
Works in Everett Engineering Operations within the Engineering Processes & Tools, CPD Site Support, Data Analytics & Metrics and Spatial Integration TeamDevelops, documents, implements, provides consultation on the application of, and ensures compliance with, requirements for use of engineering tools, processes and standardsProvides training and assistance in the utilization of processes and tools and supports the integration of engineering designsWith a customer focus mindset, provides direct Engineering processes and tools end-user support resolving issues and communicating productivity enhancements and procedures; continually enhances end-user support servicesIdentifies and validates user access roles, produces tip sheets and/or job aids and understands system interoperabilityProvides targeted software functionality and regression test services to BCA prior to major IT software releasesProvides ad-hoc assistance to Engineering DE community to accomplish business prioritiesBuilds and maintains vital business relationships between business units, programs, IT, IT suppliers, IT support and training organizations
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work on-site at one of the listed location options.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
6+ years related work experienceDomain knowledge of processes and tools
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s degree or higher10+ years related work experience
