The Production System Training (PST) organization is currently seeking Employee Development Specialists to join their group in Auburn, WA. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong background in manufacturing skills and machining who has a passion for training the next generation of skilled workers. This position supports our internal New Hire Onboarding program and foundational skills instruction.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Position Responsibilities:

Ability to apply knowledge of instructional skills (e.g. preparation, delivery, summary, assess student progress, remediation, motivation, engagement, etc.) to safely lead learners and manage classroom/lab environments in a professional manner in compliance with company policies

Using a variety of media, clearly conveys information and ideas to individuals or groups in a manner that engages the audience and helps them understand and retain the content.

Identifies business specific learning objectives and adapts curriculum content and delivery methods

Identifies potential issues that impact performance and recommends development of improvement recommendations

Able to assess requirements and coordinate with cross-functional team members to ensure commitments are met, customers are supported and business goals are achieved

Analyze, validate, optimize and coordinate training requests for new hire, recall, and transfer employees

Ability to adapt and address challenging training/learning situations on-the-fly, in order to provide a value-added learning experience for students.

Ability to support varying shifts and locations across the region based on training demand

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Excellent writing and presentation skills, ability to present complex information in a clear and simple way

Experience teaching peers in a non-classroom setting

3+ years of experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

5+ years experience in a production-related discipline such as Manufacturing, Quality, Production Engineering, Supplier Management, and/or Supplier Quality

Willing to coach learners/students at all levels

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Fabrication and assembly process knowledge (e.g. seal, bond and ground, mechanical assembly, etc.)

Aircraft mechanical and inspection background

Background in Quality control, testing and assurance

Background in mechanical assembly and surface preparation (hand finishing, shot peen, etc.)

Familiar with foundational skills and systems like PSDS, CMES, REDARS, Drawings, Precision Measuring Tools

Experience with designing/developing course content and instructional materials

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Ability to organize, prioritize and pay attention to detail and ensure accuracy

Level 3 Summary Pay Range: $90,950 - $123,050

Level 4 Summary Pay Range: $113,900 - $154,100
