The Boeing Company’s Production System Training (PST) team is currently seeking Employee Development Specialists to join their team in Auburn, Washington. Our team is hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Experienced or Senior Specialists.

This is an exciting opportunity for candidates with a strong background in manufacturing skills, machining and quality assurance who have a passion for training the next generation of skilled workers and want to serve as technical instructors. These positions will support our internal New Hire Onboarding program and foundational skills instruction.

The successful candidates will be trusted to work independently and utilize superior customer service and communication skill sets in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Position Responsibilities:

Apply instructional skills (e.g. preparation, delivery, summary, assess student progress, remediation, motivation, engagement, etc.) to safely lead learners and manage classroom/lab environments in a professional manner in compliance with company policies

Convey information and ideas, while using a variety of media, to individuals or groups in a manner that engages the audience and will help them understand and retain the content

Identify business specific learning objectives and adapt curriculum content and delivery methods

Identify potential issues that impact performance and recommend development of improvement recommendations

Assess requirements and coordinate with cross-functional team members to ensure commitments are met, customers are supported and business goals are achieved

Analyze, validate, optimize and coordinate training requests for new hire, recall, and transfer employees

Adapt and address challenging training/learning situations on-the-fly, in order to provide a value-added learning experience for students

Support varying shifts and locations across the region based on training demand

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

3+ years of experience in sheet metal, composite, machining, woodworking fabrication assembly methods and common shop practices

3+ years of experience in Quality Assurance

3+ years of experience teaching, coaching and developing others

3+ years of experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

Experience presenting complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences, in large and small groups

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Associate’s, Journeyman Card or Bachelor’s Degree

5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience with fabrication and assembly process (e.g. seal, bond and ground, etc.)

Experience in applying standard quality assurance processes and controls in a manufacturing environment

Experience with designing/developing course content and instructional materials

Experience with mechanical assembly and surface preparation (hand finishing, shot peen, etc.)

Experience with aircraft mechanical quality and inspection

Experience with foundational skills and systems like PSDS, CMES, REDARS, Drawings, Precision Measuring Tools

Typical Education/Experience:

Experienced (Level 3)

Typically 6 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.

Senior (Level 4)

Typically 10 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range experienced level: $81,600 - $110,400

Summary pay range senior level: $96,900 - $131,100
