Find your future with us.Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is currently looking for an Electrical Engineering Lab Manager responsible for leading the Integrated Technologies Development Laboratories engineering team in Tukwila, WA.
The selected candidate will provide leadership for a diverse set of projects that involve lab operations, electrical and mechanical rack design, lab construction, and lab security. The engineering manager will have demonstrated performance designing and constructing engineering labs and leading multiple engineering skills to accomplish project milestones. The selected manager will have responsibility for managing resources, processes, people, budget, and schedule across engineering projects and labs. Maintaining relationship and partnerships with business units within Boeing is essential to the success of this position.
Position Responsibilities:
Manages employees performing engineering and technical activities in the areas of Electronic and Electrical Engineering. Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures, and sets operational goals. Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers, and leads process improvements. Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports. Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes. Manages, develops, and motivates employees.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.
This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.Previous experience in laboratory operations.Previous experience in Simulation and/or System Integration Lab environments.
