Find your future with us.The Boeing Company is looking for a Data Solutions Architect to join our team in either Berkeley, MO or Seattle, WA. This position supports the Design/Build Systems & Tools team, working across the enterprise for Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E). The successful candidate will join a geographically dispersed and multidisciplinary infrastructure team that is responsible for developing and supporting engineering products used by design, manufacturing, and industrial engineers, as well as technicians and mechanics who support the BT&E test labs.
This role relies on internal and external data across a broad array of systems that are integrated into multiple data warehouses. The applicant will be expected to evaluate complete data requirements for engineers supporting both lab test and flight test teams. They will be collaborating with Data Solutions Architects, Data Scientists, Systems Engineers, Business Intelligence Analysts, and Software Application Developers to support a software and analytics suite that integrates Boeing AI/ML tools into engineering and business systems in novel ways.
The ideal candidate will help with the architecture of the overall vision planning and road-mapping activities for the Design/Build data architecture solutions as well as designing and implementing the systems, tools, and processes necessary to support enterprise functional excellence strategies.

Position Responsibilities:
Designs, develops, maintains and optimizes internal company data architecture for moderately complex databases / data warehouses required to operate the business
Leads data modelling for acquisition and database implementation collaborating with different stakeholders
Applies data extraction, transformation and loading techniques in order to connect large data sets of moderate complexity from a variety of sources
Creates data collection frameworks for structured and unstructured data and solves moderately complex data problems to generate features required by data scientists
Develops and maintains moderately complex infrastructure systems (e.g., data warehouses, data lakes) including data access APIs
Analyzes and manages data of moderate complexity
Guides other data and analytics professionals on data standards and practices
Establishes a culture of sharing, reuse, design for scale stability, and operational efficiency of data and analytics solutions
Builds complex repeatable data pipelines across multi- and hybrid-cloud environments of moderate complexity
Supports the development of application databases and data warehouse
Supports data governance, data mapping, and data dictionary for Design/Build
Supports the Systems Vision Plan and Roadmap for Design/Build organization
Develops a working knowledge of core systems such as GOLD, VSVT, OWB, CMES, MESci, & BLIS
Coordinates with business partners to understand their engineering and operations requirements
Translates customer requirements into architecture solutions
Develops strategies for integrating legacy systems into next generation systems
Supports major projects by defining the work scope, estimated cost, and scheduling through the performance of risk analysis using project management tools
Develops/implements new processes across an organization
Builds relationships with internal/external customers
Works with customers / end users to gather and document requirements
Technical Skills:
Expert generating and maintaining entity relationship diagrams
Expert architecting databases for applications using normalization rules
Expert with SQL (complex stored procedures, views, and CTE's)
Expert with ETL Platforms such as SSIS, AWS Glue, Data Factory, Dataflow, Informatica, Hadoop
Experience architecting databases for data warehouses using Kimbal Dimensional Modeling, including star and snowflake schema
Experience with database testing and performance optimizations
Leverages automation & CI/CD extensively for scalability, repeatability, and reuse
Experience with project management
Working experience with Agile methodology (and Git/ADO/Jira)
Experience with Microsoft 365 Suite of Apps
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Level 4: 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Summary Pay Range for Experience level (Level 3): $106,250 – $154,100
Summary Pay Range for Senior level (Level 4): $126,650 – $184,000
