The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Senior Data Solution Architect to join the team in either Everett, WA; Auburn, WA; Kent, WA; Renton, WA; Seattle, WA; or Tukwila, WA.

The Data Solution Architect will have a passion for building large scale software systems across clouds including Amazon Web Services (AWS). We are looking for a teammate who is highly motivated and likes to solve challenging and complex problems across a variety of domains.

Position Responsibilities:

Leads and performs the design, program, test, implementation and documentation of complex computing applications and software or computing architecture and computing application system designs

Leads analysis of end user processes to define application requirements

Writes and compiles complex code based on documented design or designs application architecture that integrates application software and delivery subsystems for specific applications

Modifies or upgrades complex applications to maintain functionality and performance

Identifies and recommends improvements

Identifies and resolves complex programming or application architecture problems

Defines data products and monetizing

Builds self-service capabilities to users

Builds quality checks across the data lineage and responsible in designing and implementing different data patterns

Works on prototyping and evaluates technical feasibility

Influences different stakeholders for funding and building the vision of the product in terms of usage, productivity, and scalability of the solutions

Builds impactful or outcome-based solutions/products

This position is hybrid. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

5+ years of experience in designing, implementing, and integrating big data platforms

5+ years of experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)

5+ years of experience developing data pipelines

5+ years of experience coding in SQL, Python, Java, or R

5+ years of experience working in a cross functional environment with all levels in the business from individual contributors to executive leadership

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Bachelor of Science degree or higher from an accredited course of study, in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or other technical degree

Experience with data lake house

Experience with participating in building the strategy/roadmap for cloud solutions

Experience with GitLab, GIT, IIS, or Windows Server

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience, 13 years' related work experience, etc.).

Relocation:

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $132,600 – $179,400
