The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Data and AI Platform Activation Senior Manager to join the team in Seattle, WA or Plano, TX.

Boeing is accelerating its data-driven transformation by building scalable data pipelines, innovative data products, and robust platforms that empower business insights and operational excellence. As a pivotal leader in this transformation, the Data and AI Platform Activation Senior Manager will partner with leaders from Information Technology (IT) and Business Units (BUs) to drive the strategic vision and enterprise-wide activation of Data and AI platform capabilities.

This role is accountable for translating platform development into measurable business value by partnering closely with IT, business units, and executive leadership to align Data and AI capabilities with evolving business imperatives. You will lead the end-to-end activation lifecycle from align BU strategy, priority and solution discovery, through training, demos, and change management to ensure seamless onboarding and sustained adoption across global business units.

Serving as a trusted advisor and communicator, you will orchestrate cross-functional collaboration, manage the platform capability backlog, and oversee the progress of development, onboarding and value realization. By fostering innovation, upskilling talent, and driving clear, transparent communication, you will enable Boeing to unlock new business value and maintain competitive advantage through modern Data and AI solutions.

Position Responsibilities:

Partner with IT, business units, and executive leadership to ensure Data and AI platform capabilities are tightly aligned with evolving business strategies and priorities

Own the end-to-end activation lifecycle, including sales engineering, solution discovery, training, demos, change management, and user onboarding to maximize platform adoption and business impact

Manage and prioritize the platform capability backlog, balancing business needs, technical feasibility, and resource allocation to deliver high-value solutions efficiently

Orchestrate collaboration across architecture, product management, data science, IT, and business teams to ensure seamless delivery and integration of Data and AI platform capabilities

Develop and execute change management strategies, including upskilling programs and community engagement, to empower users and foster a data-driven culture

Define and track KPIs related to platform usage, adoption, and business value; provide transparent, actionable insights to executive stakeholders

Collaborate with governance and security teams to embed data quality, privacy, and compliance standards into platform activation activities

Champion emerging technologies and best practices such as Data Mesh, generative AI, and MLOps to continuously evolve platform capabilities and maintain Boeing’s competitive edge

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Bachelor’s degree or higher

10+ years of experience in data engineering or data platform development,

7+ years of experience in platform activation, product management, or change management for enterprise technology adoption

5+ years of experience in MLOps/DevOps, cloud data platform development (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), and building scalable data solutions

5+ years of experience advising and engaging executives to develop Data & AI strategy and translate platform capabilities into measurable business value

3+ years of experience leading and delivering AI solutions and driving enterprise-wide activation, adoption, and enablement of complex Data & AI platforms in large matrixed organizations

3+ years of experience managing capability backlogs, prioritizing cross-functional teams, and overseeing PMO activities to ensure timely delivery and value realization

3+ years of experience driving change management, user onboarding, training, and enablement to accelerate adoption and foster a data-driven culture, including executive and business-unit engagement

3+ years of experience implementing modern data technologies (data fabric, virtualization, mesh, ontology/knowledge graph) and applying data governance, security, compliance, and ethical AI frameworks

3+ years of experience working in agile, cross-functional environments and collaborating with architecture, IT, data science, and product teams

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Master’s degree in AI, ML, Data Science, or related field

Experience with emerging technologies such as data fabric, data virtualization, data mesh, ontology/knowledge graph and hybrid cloud data ecosystems

Experience in developing and executing training, marketing, and community engagement programs to drive technology adoption

Experience building and leading geographically distributed, high-performing teams focused on platform enablement and user success

Experience fostering innovation and continuous improvement in data and AI platform environments

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $204,850 – $277,150
