Find your future with us.Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking a highly motivated Senior Contract Management Specialist within the E-7 program in Tukwila, WA.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the E-7A United States Air Force/Foreign Military Sales (USAF/FMS) Program. The USAF selected Boeing to build and deliver at least two new Rapid Prototype E-7A Airborne Early Warning and Control aircraft. Designed to track multiple airborne and maritime targets simultaneously, E-7A provides situational awareness and can direct other assets such as fifth-generation fighter jets and warships in challenging operational environments. The ideal candidate will be an Intellectual Property Subject Matter Expert (IP SME).
Position Responsibilities:
Exercises appropriate signature authority, leads, and participates in negotiating and contracting for the sale and support of aerospace products, services, technologies, financing and the licensing of intellectual property to support company strategies
Leads the presentation and development of complex business solutions to preserve and expand the business with this role particularly focused on IP, data rights, Specially Negotiated License Rights (SNLRs) and all related IP efforts
Represents the company in external negotiations to a diverse set of customers
Prepares, negotiates, executes, interprets and administers legally binding contractual agreements of a complex nature for The Boeing Company
Leads coordination and partnership with other internal functional disciplines
Summarizes complex contractual issues, and leads development of creative solutions and coordination of contractual risk mitigation
Leads, trains and mentors growing contracts teammates
Utilizes strong time management skills and ability to work multiple projects at once
Exhibits extraordinary communication and presentation skill
Exercises knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation/Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (FAR/DFARS), Foreign Military Sales, multiple contract types and Commercial Derivative Platform IP challenges
Resolves complex contract and customer issues during all phases of the contract, embracing ingenuity and an innovative mindset
This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor's Degree or higher
Experience leading teams in a formal and/or informal role
5+ years of experience in business related function (including but not limited to: Finance, Contracts, Estimating, Procurement Financial Analysis, Business Operations, Supplier Management, Marketing & Sales)
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance
3+ years of experience or training on FAR and DFARS compliance
3+ years of experience with development and production contracting
3+ years of experience or training on Intellectual Property and related topics
3+ years of experience with international contracting (e.g. Foreign Military Sales)
Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.).
