The Boeing Company’s Information Digital Technology & Security (IDT&S) organization is currently seeking a Compute Patching and Automation Senior Manager to join the team in North Charleston, SC; Kent, WA; Everett, WA; Seattle, WA or Tukwila, WA.

As a compute patching & automation manager, you will play a vital role in supporting the Boeing Information Technology organization! In this key position you will leverage your extensive knowledge of leading enterprise server operating system infrastructure (physical and virtualized) and customer service to ensure server patching product offerings meet current and future internal consumer requirements, report success of automation, and respond to issues as they arise.

In this role you can expect to utilize your unique skillset to manage agile teams of technology professionals while building rapport for server automation services across the business and acting as a spokesperson and key representative for the team’s products and services. Position Responsibilities:

Lead and manage multiple agile teams of skilled technology professionals responsible for developing and testing operating system content, implementing changes to patching infrastructure, and creating new patching products and service offerings for internal consumersRecognize team accomplishments and monitor system performance, successes, and challengesOwn and manage automation infrastructure vendor complianceOversee sourced server patching system operations to ensure external service providers meet all requirements and participate in recovery planning and process improvementsServe as the primary point of contact and escalation for service providers regarding server automation issuesMonitor and drive resolution of issues by coordinating appropriate handoffs to the correct teams and ensuring effective collaboration and timely customer solutionsResolve and escalate issues related to products, services, talent, and third-party providersCommunicate team processes and procedures effectively to executives, prospective consumers, and cross-functional teamsIdentify opportunities to improve compute automation and the consumer experience at Boeing through collaboration with internal teams, processes, and external partners

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Bachelor’s degree or higher5+ years of experience leading server technology, infrastructure and services projects (server hardware, operating systems, virtualization, middleware, and cloud enabling software.)5+ years of experience with Operating Systems: Windows Server, RedHat Enterprise Linux, and Oracle Enterprise Linux5+ years of experience supporting and/or working on any cloud related technology or solution5+ years of experience with presenting information to leaders and external customers5+ years of experience managing suppliers/vendors to deliver products and services

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Experience with operating system security concepts and controlsExperience in automating processes, technology and compliance into a complete solution that can be consumed directly or by delivery teamsExperience with multiple operating system patching technologiesExperience supporting 24/7 operationsExperience with developing visualizations in Tableau, Cognos, Excel, Power-BI, or other analytics and reporting solutionsExperience with OpenText Server AutomationExperience with OpenText Operations OrchestrationWindows Server certificationsCurrent cybersecurity certification (e.g., Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)Experience translating low-level problems into executive-level risk briefings and actionable plansExperience motivating and aligning disparate stakeholders to drive change and improve systemsExperience with ServiceNowExperience with Microsoft SQL ServerExperience with agile methodologies and project management practice

Summary pay range:$161,500 - $233,450
