Find your future with us.The Boeing Company is seeking a CNC Machine Technician to join our Additive Manufacturing and Prototyping team in Tukwila, WA. This technician will take part as a general machinist using CNC mills and lathes in a job shop to design and fabricate prototype and test parts, utilizing multiple technologies across traditional machining and additive methods. You will provide technical support for engineering changes and discrepancies, investigate and develop basic to moderately complex equipment and tooling concepts, participate in design reviews, create and revise drawings and models to support the build plan. You will perform self-checks of designs for compliance with safety, producibility, maintainability, reliability, ergonomic factors, and regulatory requirements. Your contributions will be vital in ensuring efficient and high-quality additive manufacturing processes for aerospace products
BT&E is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Associate or Experienced level CNC Machine Technicians.
Position Responsibilities Include:
Programming, set-up and operation of 3-axis and 5-axis mills, wire EDM, CNC lathe and various hand tools with limited supervisionKnowledge of Mastercam 2019/2021, as well as with CATIAAbility to machine prototype parts while maintaining a deadline per customer requestAbility to assess tooling and fixturing needed for jobsAbility to ask questions as needed and to work collaborativelyKnowledge of blueprints, drawing tolerances, and 3D CAD modelsUse of precision measuring toolsKnowledge of assembly (fasteners used, etc.)Ability to use Microsoft Windows and personal computing devices as pertaining to jobKnowledge of machining of aluminum, stainless steel and plastics
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
1+ years of experience setting-up and operating CNC Mills and Lathes1+ years of experience in CAD/CAM software (preferred CATIA, Vericut simulation, MasterCAM,)1+ years of design experience
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
3 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experienceMultiple post processing practicesExperience with 3 and 5-Axis Mill and Wire EDMExperience with aerospace machining.Ability to learn and support in fast paced R&D environments.Experience of exotic materialsExperience of design practicesAbility to collaborate with both our team and our customersFocus on customer needs and ability to work directly with customers towards goalsDesign ExperienceAbility to obtain security clearanceModel/mockup experienceSpray Painting models and assemblies

Summary pay range for associate level: $56,950 – $77,050
Summary pay range for experienced level: $68,000 – $92,000
