The Boeing Company is looking for a Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) Senior Safety Manager to join our team in Seattle, WA.

As the Boeing Test & Evaluation Senior Safety Manager, the position will report directly to the Boeing Test & Evaluation Vice President & General Manager and will be accountable to the Integrated Test Leaders to help collect safety data, identify hazards and develop plans to mitigate risks. Additionally, they will be integrating with key business partners to include the Enterprise Safety Management System and local and federal regulators.

Position Responsibilities:

Develop and manage the Boeing Test & Evaluation Safety Management System (SMS)

Develop Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to measure the health of the system and share those with leaders

Safety Assurance

Develop safety policy and publish a Safety Management Manual

Develop an emergency response plan and run the plan during drills and actual events

Collect safety reports and use the reports to conduct both proactive and reactive safety risk mitigation

Promote safety through drills, meetings, signage, data sharing and safety meetings

Act as the ASAP focal to ensure the program is used to report relevant information and understand industry trends

Measure and promote a just and healthy safety culture

Work with the enterprise SMS to learn from their reporting and ensure high risk hazards are elevated

Share data with our business partners to improve the entire business and improve enterprise safety

Conduct audits and use that data for continual process improvement

Engage with industry partners to ensure we utilize best practices

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

3+ years air safety experience

Graduate of a safety management school certification class or the ability to attend and procure one within the first year

3+ years of strong management experience

Bachelor’s degree or higher

Familiarity with International Civil Aviation Organization Annes 13

Familiarity with the Federal Aviation Administration’s Part 5

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

FAA ATP or Commercial certificate with the appropriate endorsements

Ability to fly with flight operations

Pilot experience

5+ years Air Safety experience

5+ years of strong management experience

Summary Pay Range (Level M): $191,250 – $258,750
