The BGS Supply Chain Engineering Commercial and Commercial Derivatives Provisioning and Spares Senior Manager is responsible for spares and engineering SOW to support provisioning, procurement and part ordering. This position is part of the BGS Supply Chain Engineering team. The BGS Supply Chain Engineering team is responsible for value added engineering engagement to enable supply chain stability, reliability and flexibility to deliver on customer commitments operating with a service champion mindset. This position supports the bridge between Supply Chain and Engineering, leading alignment, risk management and supply chain support. This senior manager leads the team to develop and execute business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies. This team develops provisioning products and spares engineering statement of work for all of our commercial aircraft and some of our military derivative aircraft. This team works closely with our global teammates to execute the full statement of work assigned to this team.

Position Responsibilities:

Develops and executes integrated organizational plans, policies and procedures and guides the development of business and technical strategies, goals, objectives across Engineering and Supply Chain across Commercial and Military products.Responsible for ensuring engineering support of provisioning and spares contract execution and coordination with key stakeholders including program management, commercial sales, customers, suppliers and cross-business engineering leaders to support BGS Supply Chain programs. Assists and engages when there are technical issues to identify mitigation and execution plans to ensure the technical integrity of our spare products.Develops performance metrics and monitors adherence to program plans and schedules. Acquires resources, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements. Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports. Manages, develops and motivates employees.Skill and ability to: collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data; summarize findings; develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources.Knowledge of various engineering disciplines such as electrical, mechanical, and systems. The ability to communicate with technical personnel from multiple skill areas and functions to evaluate technical information and issues impacting design, production, and support of products, services, or other deliverables.Knowledgeable of how the business and organization operates; knowledgeable of policies, practices, trends, and information affecting the business and organization; understands the competition and the marketplace. Understands how to accomplish tasks through formal channels and informal network; understands the cultures of organizations. Applies this information in a way that contributes to the organizations strategic plan and bottom line.

Security Clearance:

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

5+ years of engineering leadership experienceManagement experienceExperience leading through influence and partnering with cross-functional teams on projects and initiativesDemonstrated critical-business and financial acumen in order to influence and shape strategyBachelors degree in Engineering or technical fieldWilling and able to travel domestically and internationally for 20% of the timeExperience with Boeing processes and procedures

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Team and Talent Development experienceTechnical experience with product support/logistics disciplines such as supply chain and spares support, Field Service; etc.Experience managing EVM metricsExperience with Estimating and Proposal Support

Typical Education/ Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
