The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Software Engineering Manager to join the 777x Product Development team located in Everett or Renton, WA. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Commercial Airlines (BCA) business organization.

Help us define the future of software engineering in Boeing Commercial Airplanes! We are looking for strong leaders with a strong software background, interested in developing software for airborne systems, ground based tools and development environments.

Selected team members will lead software engineering teams, working with our software enterprise organization and BCA functional engineering (Avionics, Electrical Sub, Propulsion) , to implement world class software development practices and tools across our products.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Position Responsibilities:

Manages employees performing engineering and technical activities in the area of Software EngineeringDevelops and completes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goalsAcquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvementsDevelops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, collaborators, peers, partners and direct reportsProvides guidance and approval of technical approaches, products and processesManages, develops and motivates employees

Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements:

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

3+ years of experience managing or leading teams in a formal or informal role2+ years of experience with SAE Standard ARP4754A, RTCA DO-178 or DO-254

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science5+ years of experience with the Software Lifecycle from gathering requirements, testing to certification5+ years of experience with SAE Standard ARP4754A, RTCA DO-178 or DO-2542+ years of experience interacting with aerospace regulators, such as the FAA and EASA
