Find your future with us.The Boeing Company is looking for a Senior Audio Visual Architect to join the team in Kent, WA; Renton, WA; Seattle, WA; Berkeley, MO; Hazelwood, MO; or North Charleston, SC.
The selected candidate will support the Infrastructure, Technology, and Operations (IT&O) organization, which is responsible for providing infrastructure and digital workplace solutions, focused on supporting communication and business requirements that are aligned to achieving Boeing’s efficient business outcomes.
This includes technology, products and services focused on audio visual systems, networking, Information Technology (IT) site operations, conference and collaboration in support of the Digital Enterprise and data analytics.
Position Responsibilities:
Identifies conferencing requirements by interacting with business partners, computing architects, delivery systems analysts, suppliers and others
Analyzes business requirements to develop audio-visual conferencing solution requirements assuring that expectations such as functionality, reliability, availability, affordability, security and performance are comprehensive and feasible
Guides end user requirements to implement standard conferencing solutions
Documents and presents recommendations
Uses technical and industry knowledge to evaluate technical components to assess which will be viable to satisfy customer requirements and incorporated into standard configuration
Incorporates elements to ensure that security/data protection, and performance/capacity planning to develop affordable solutions
Assesses whether components are appropriate to implement
Recommends and presents solutions to stakeholders and documents selected solutions following process standards
Uses technical and industry knowledge to choose an appropriate solution from a number of possible standards
Documents information such as configuration, installation and user guides following process standards
Develops test plans such as functional, integration and usability
Tests delivery systems and/or components to ensure that components and systems function according to test plans and are ready for production
Leads others to identify, evaluate and document complex computing system requirements
Leads activities to architect, design, build and test delivery systems and components
Provides technical leadership to evaluate product usability, affordability, functionality, security and performance to assess suitability for integration into delivery system environments
Provides technical support and consultation for the implementation and usage of complex delivery systems
Represents the organization by providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projects
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
5+ years of experience in audio visual multimedia application and equipment
5+ years of experience with large scale Audio/Visual Systems
5+ years of experience troubleshooting technical systems issues
5+ years of experience designing and implementing solutions (e.g. client/server, storage, network, cloud, information security concepts etc.)
5+ years of experience with Audio Visual (AV) and Video Teleconference (VTC) components, systems, products, and equipment
5+ years of experience with Audio Visual (AV) operational maintenance requirements and technologies (e.g. AV cable, lighting, acoustics, networking and associated conferencing technology)
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work or military experience
Experience communicating and collaborating with cross functional teams
Experience with audio-visual and videoconferencing components, systems, products, equipment and terminology
Experience with AV operational and maintenance requirements and technologies
Experience with enterprise-wide visual communications systems
Audio Visual certifications
