The Boeing Regulatory Administration & Airworthiness team is seeking an Associate (Level 2) or Experienced (Level 3) Certification System Technical Writer to join our team on site in Everett, Washington. Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Mid-Level and Senior Technical Writer.

The Regulatory Administration & Airworthiness Enterprise Certification Processes team is hiring a Certification System Technical Communications Writer (Mid-Level or Senior) to support certification process development and documentation. We work to ensure Boeing products meet regulatory and safety requirements by defining, implementing, and overseeing certification processes. Our team includes experienced engineers and technical analysts who apply systems engineering, regulatory knowledge, and problem-solving to guide certification across change classification, certification project processes, applicant development, and certification systems integration. We also develop training and capability kits to support engineering teams.

Position Responsibilities:

Produce clear, accurate, and accessible technical process and training materials, including Boeing command media, guidance documents, and supplemental content.Edit and proofread content for clarity, consistency, tone, and compliance with Boeing policy and process instruction standards (e.g., PRO 1, BPI-1).Partner with engineers, analysts, and other subject matter experts across domains to capture technical intent, resolve conflicts, and ensure alignment to publication standards.Gather stakeholder input, reconcile conflicts, and drive consensus to finalize materials.Design and implement structured content approaches and information architecture that improve findability, reuse, and maintainability of the Enterprise Certification Processes library.Define content requirements for regulatory treatment, coordination, or approval and prepare materials to support those activities.Develop and champion content management concepts, templates, and best practices to mature the team’s technical communications strategy.Convert complex regulatory and systems engineering concepts into user-focused procedures, job aids, and training kits for engineering teams.Support multiple concurrent workstreams autonomously, prioritize deliverables, and escalate issues or risks as needed.Create and deliver presentations or briefings to stakeholders at varying levels to communicate changes, training plans, and content strategy.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the Everett, WA site.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Level 2: 3+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Level 3: 6+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Experience with Technical Publications, aircraft systems or technical data.Minimum 3 years of experience producing or managing technical communication projects.Minimum 3 years of experience developing, contributing to, or maintaining processes, policies, or procedures

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Demonstrated experience across the full certification value stream, including change classification, project-level certification activities, and applicant development.Direct experience working with certification processes and compliance requirements under 14 CFR 21.93, 21.95, and 21.97.Proven systems thinker — able to use data analysis and forecasting to propose engineering or process changes with broad, long-term impact.Experience authoring, reviewing, or approving certification plans, compliance matrices, process instructions or similar regulatory artifacts.Track record of investigating complex technical or regulatory issues and driving effective, documented solutions.Experience managing and prioritizing multiple, competing workstreams in a high-visibility environment and balancing stakeholder needs.Advanced presentation skills, including development and delivery of briefings to senior leadership and cross-functional teams.Self-starting, accountable, and able to work independently.Portfolio or examples that demonstrate strong technical writing ability for process, policy, and training materials; experience implementing content strategy, templates, or structured authoring approaches.

Summary Pay Range:

Associate (Level 2): $72,250 - $97,750Experienced (Level 3): $89,250 - $120,750
