Find your future with us.The Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) team is seeking an Associate Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Tukwila, WA. The selected candidate will be responsible for fabrication planning and installation by providing design review, manufacturing plan authorship, fabrication sourcing (inside and outside of Boeing), interface with procurement (including tracking), and support in the lab during the build/installation. The primary focus of this position is the lead, manage and support of the design & fabrication efforts located in Tukwila, WA. These efforts represent a wide variety of research and production programs primary in support of Boeing Commercial airplanes (BCA) and Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) programs.
Manufacturing Engineers are owners of the build plan and ensure compliance to design configuration and process requirements, Manufacturing Engineering performs Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) analysis and develops an integrated build plan consisting of work instructions for assembly/fabrication, kitting, tooling, inspection requirements, and other outputs to endure fabrication meets design, test, and program requirements.
Position Responsibilities Include:
Assist in the development and implementation of production and tooling methodologiesParticipate as a member of an Integrated Product Team (IPT) in the integration of technical solutionsWork with others to develop, identify and implement conceptual designs and maintenance of the program architecture for buildAssist in implementing manufacturing plansResolve technical problems and assists in the implementation of new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies and conceptsAssist in the implementation of Lean principles and technologiesInterface with professional associations, suppliers, IPTs and internal customers to develop products, skills, knowledge and experience
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science 3+ years of experience working in a production and/or manufacturing environment1+ years of experience managing projects1+ years of experience working in a design engineering, industrial engineering or manufacturing roleAbility to read, understand and interpret engineering drawingsGeneral Drawing Interpretation & GD&T knowledge
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
3+ years of experience working in a lab test, flight test, or similar test environmentExperience in support of commercial and military customers.Experience in Project managementBoeing BCA/BDS/BT&E Manufacturing Engineering experience in Systems Lab Test.Experience in ME and processes across multiple engineering disciplinesExperience with PDM, CAPP, CMES, MESci, EPARTs, GOLDesp
