Find your future with us.The Enterprise Certification Processes Team is seeking a Mid-Level or Senior Certification Systems Engineer - Regulatory Administration & Airworthiness to join our team in Everett, Washington. The Regulatory Administration & Airworthiness (RA&A) Enterprise Certification Processes team is centrally responsible for integration of certification processes across our Global Enterprise (Commercial, Defense and Global Services). Team members grow to become experts in the certification business and solve technical issues across the certification value stream. We are owners of processes and documents, manage change and drive efficiency/ease of compliance all from a variety of sources. Understanding of the Boeing ODA Procedures Manual (BPM) and affected processes and procedures is strongly desired. Experience working with the FAA is also strongly desired. This position will interface with ODA Unit members such as Project Administrators and Engineering Unit Members. The team and leadership encourage innovation and forward-thinking solutions in an autonomous atmosphere. Position Responsibilities:
Participates in identifying, analyzing, and assessing regulatory and contractual compliance of aerospace systems, products and servicesSupports defining and validating airworthiness and regulatory compliance requirements and provides support incorporating into designs, operations, and proceduresSupports the review of simple or routine regulatory and customer requirements and evaluation of impact to company products and servicesSupports analysis of regulatory and certification technical data for completenessSupports creating a compliance statement for the airworthiness of aerospace systems and productsContributes to the research, investigation and monitoring of compliance processes or reported in-service fleet issues for achieving regulatory complianceProvides simple technical support, training, tools and resources to the delegated approval organizationReviews and maintains compliance reports and documents in accordance with applicable requirements and regulationsParticipates in establishing and promoting global regulatory advocacy strategies, trainings, tools, and methods
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer scienceExperience working directly with the FAA and/or ODA on Type Certification projects5+ years of experience in developing and/or contributing to processes, policies, and procedures in a regulated industry5+ years of experience working in the Aerospace industry
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience working within the certification value streamExperience with certification processes Boeing uses to comply with 14 CFR 21.93, 21.95, 21.97 and 12.101Experience communicating verbally and in writing, to a variety of audiences including FAA representation, ODA Leadership, Engineering Unit Members (E-UM) & Project Administrators (PA), and Program & Functional LeadersExperience identifying web application impact due to changes in certification requirementsSystems thinker capable of making engineering proposals based on data analysis and forecasting wide reaching and longer term impactsExperience developing presentations and presenting to multiple levels of an organizationExperience investigating and finding solutions to complex technical or regulatory issuesExperience recognizing and balance conflicting prioritiesStrong technical writing abilitiesStrong presentation skillsExperience writing, reviewing, or approving Certification plans a plusExperience working post-production Type certificates, particularly supplemental type certificates (STC’s) a plus

Summary pay range Mid-Level: $105,550 - $141,450
Summary pay range Senior: $128,350 - $173,650
