This exceptional opportunity offers a thrilling and professional career in one of the most artistic roles within the production system, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring optimal aircraft performance and functionality.
As a Sealer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and performance of fuel tank and airplane components. Your primary responsibility will be to clean and apply sealant to these components according to precise drawings and specifications. In this role, you will be performing "in process" sealing on open and accessible wing integral fuel tank items, as well as other assemblies such as floors, ribs, spars, and wing panels. Your attention to detail and adherence to quality standards will be essential in maintaining the integrity of these critical components.
Position Responsibilities:
Utilizing a computer in a production environment
Looking up, reading, and comprehending technical work instructions, drawings, and specifications
Cleaning and applying sealant to fuel tank items and various airplane components such as floors, ribs, spars, wing panels, and body structures
Wearing appropriate protective clothing and equipment based on the task at hand
Operating mechanical lifts of different types, including scissors lifts and elevated work platforms
Working with chemical solvents, sealants, and cleaners
Conducting inspections of completed work for quality and checking for Foreign Object Debris (FOD)
Performing finger manipulation tasks such as keyboarding
Reading from computer screens, printed drawings, or documents
Working around fumes and chemicals for extended periods (3-6 hours) and being exposed to constant noise
Engaging in frequent physical activities such as flexion/extension (head bent down, head bent back), handling, kneeling, bending at the waist, reaching overhead, rotating head/neck, standing, twisting at the waist, laying down (back, side, front), and walking
Lifting and carrying loads weighing between 10-35 pounds
Climbing/balancing on stairs, ladders, poles, scaffolding, and inclined surfaces
Crawling and crouching (squatting) as required.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualification:
1+ years of experience applying paints and/or sealants in an industrial environment.
1+ years of experience with chemical technology or a material focus area: paints, coatings, finishes, and/or sealants.
Ability to climb ladders at heights up to 15 feet and stairs on a regular basis
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with reading engineering blueprints/drawings
Attended a Boeing partnered manufacturing related high school or community and technology college academic program
Typical Education & Experience:
High school diploma and/or General Education Diploma (GED).
