We are seeking an Associate, Mid-Level, or Senior CFD Developer to build the foundational tools and methods supporting engineering design and analysis. The FSTI Computational Methods team develops and applies advanced aerodynamic analysis and design tools and processes to a wide variety of flight platforms to support programs across the enterprise during all phases of the product life cycle.
In this role you will partner with our Engineering and Research & Technology teams to develop innovative technologies for aerodynamic simulations and optimization. You will partner with other Flight technology groups to create an ecosystem of geometric modeling and simulation capabilities. Position Responsibilities:
Develops CFD solvers to provide high fidelity solutions for aerodynamic analysis and shape optimizationStrong background in numerical methods and algorithms appropriate for CFDExperience in CFD solver development for aircraft applicationsExperience with C/C++, FORTRAN, & Python programming languagesFamiliarity with modern software development and DevOps practices
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science2 or more years of experience with Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) development
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experienceBackground in compressible & turbulent flowsBackground with Finite Element Methods for CFDBackground in RANS and URANS methodsBackground in integral boundary layer methods and/or wall modelsBackground in adjoint-based optimization techniquesBackground in scale resolving methods (hybrid RANS/LES & Wall Modelled LES)Experience in CFD development for GPUsExperience with GPU programming frameworks such as CUDA, OpenACC, and HIPFamiliarity with modern software development DevOps practicesAble to perform CFD solver development, verification, and validationBackground in numerical methods suitable to CFDExperience in scientific programming and code development in C, C++, and FORTRANAbility to think outside the box to provide innovative solutions to customersGood communication skills and able to work with a team or individually as required.Capable of analyzing aerodynamic flow-fields and extracting engineering data

Summary pay range Associate: $81,600 - $110,400
Summary pay range Mid - Level: $100,300 - $135,700
Summary pay range Senior: $121,550 - $164,450
