Designing and configuring cloud architecture can be daunting. With AWS Elastic Beanstalk developers and system administrators can easily create infrastructure and deploy cloud-based applications in a matter of minutes. Beanstalk supports many different language runtimes and software platforms including Ruby, Golang, Docker, Java, Python, Node.js, and .NET. The Platforms team is responsible for curating and building these platforms and making them globally available across the 20+ AWS regions supported by Beanstalk. We are seeking experienced engineers to help in our mission to provide the best cloud-based web application platform for every popular language runtime. Our customers are other developers and our code is responsible for managing their applications on EC2 virtual machine instances. With 10+ supported platforms, you will have opportunities to work with many different technologies and tools. As a Systems Development Engineer, you will own the systems and infrastructure we use to

· Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent technology industry experience · Ability to work independently with sometimes minimal direction, and while balancing different priorities in a dynamic environment · Proficiency operating in a Linux environment, including configuration of networking and security · Proficiency in Ruby, Python, Java, or Go· Experience with scripting and automation tools like Bash, Powershell, Chef, or Puppet · Experience launching and managing web applications in AWS or another cloud provider · In-depth knowledge of at least one of the Beanstalk-supported
