In the Azure Developer Experience team, we are innovating on how developers build applications for the cloud, in the cloud. We are a tight-knit team of energetic, data driven product managers. We continuously strive to learn the needs of different developers, build solutions that make sense for our developer customers and Microsoft, and create products (services and tools) that are delightful to use. And we work hand-in-hand with one of the customer-focused engineering teams in the world. We are looking for a Product Architect, passionate about developers as customers, to define and drive end-to-end experiences for IoT developers with a focus on the "Internet" part. We want to build an unparalleled experience for developers building the next set of IoT solutions leveraging capabilities on Azure. The developer experience will span all the different components of typical IoT solutions through a combination of intuitive programming models, useful frameworks, delightful tooling and valuable
You will be responsible for driving a common vision for IoT developer experience across a breadth of teams building IoT device, edge and platform capabilities. You will define programming models consistent across cloud and edge, and create experiences that enable developers to use these models. You will drive engineering investments around tooling and services that support this experience. This is a very exciting role that requires continuous collaboration with customers, partner teams, engineering teams, executive management and analysts. Basic Qualifications: 5+ years in a technical product management or architect role 2+ years experience with cloud-based solutions, modern programming languages and development frameworks Development experience building IoT solutions (professional or hobby) A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent alternative education, skills, and/or practical experience is required. Preferred qualifications: • Knowledge of the IoT space including platform capabilities, end-to-end solutions and developer frameworks • Proven ability to drive through influence
