THE ORGANIZATION: The Cloud + AI product group builds and operates Microsoft's Azure Cloud Computing platform (servers, storage, networking, databases, and application services) and Artificial Intelligence services (tools and higher-level services around perception, knowledge and cognition). This ever-growing collection of capabilities enable organizations worldwide to build, test, deploy, and operate intelligent applications via a global network of Microsoft-managed datacenters. THE ROLE: The Azure Customer Growth and Analytics team is a centralized group of data scientists, analysts, and engineers on a mission to ensure customer success with Azure by driving improvements to the customer experience, informed by data-driven insights. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Become a subject matter expert in the Cloud + AI business and underlying data ecosystem. Collaborate with product and program owners across the organization to understand objectives, identify opportunities, and inform data-driven decisions. Prioritize projects to maximize business impact. Identify changes in customer behavior, system performance, or financial results, and deliver the necessary insights to explain them and recommend actions to be taken. Deliver accurate and timely standardized reporting and analysis in support of ongoing business reviews and planning processes
KEY QUALIFICATIONS: 5-7 years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, or data driven business strategy. Functional knowledge of cloud computing and online services business models, including business, technical, financial, and operational measurements. Highly proficient with T-SQL and Excel. Experience with PowerBI, Kusto/Azure Data Explorer, Python and/or R preferred. Strong analytical ability; problem deconstruction, statistical thinking, meticulous forensic analysis, data validation, and scientific rigor.
