The Microsoft Cloud Infrastructure finance team is looking for a talented and motivated individual to help shape the future of our cloud products. You would be joining an exciting and fast-evolving finance team at the forefront of Microsoft's Cloud strategy. The team has a charter to: Build out end to end Microsoft Cloud Infrastructure while driving down unit cost of capacity Expand Cloud Services Profitability through focus on Gross Margin Support Long Term bets, and drive Competitive Intelligence to keep Microsoft Cloud ahead of competition Drive greater transparency into Cloud Infrastructure costs to drive the right behavior Promote an inclusive, growth mindset work environment where everyone can do their best work
We are looking for a finance manager focusing on optimizing Azure usage by first parties across Microsoft . Core responsibilities include: Business partnering: partner across organizations, incl. Engineering and other finance teams to identify and drive engineering efficiencies to meet gross margin goals and OPEX goals. Financial modeling: build driver-based models to enable insights, surface actionable opportunities, drive the right behavior and support decision-making for engineering prioritization, feature/offer designs, and strategy Financial analysis : conduct financial analysis to provide
Requirements and Qualifications: 5+ years of relevant work experience in financial analysis with a strong analytical foundation Proven Excel modeling skills Thorough and detailed oriented, yet able to "see the forest for the trees" when assessing what the numbers mean Comfortable handing ambiguity and uncertainty in a business that evolves at fast pace Able to manage multiple work streams and prioritize as needed Strong partnering capabilities, collaborative and inclusive when working with others Synthesize and communicate analyses; craft straight-forward story-lines for senior management and key
