Microsoft Cloud Infrastructure and Operations (MCIO) seeks new Energy Analyst in Energy Markets. The candidate will support the management of a portfolio of activities to optimize and execute opportunities in datacenter energy supply and technology, including: support in the negotiating of utility/energy contracts, help to develop business cases for new technology, and support the identification of market conditions and regulations material to large power consumers. The position will also require excellent contract management and business process skills.

The candidate will have the ability to develop power market price forecasts and other financial analysis in support of MCIO initiatives. The candidate will need to broadly understand the dynamics of energy markets and Microsoft's own unique position in the energy sector. This necessitates that the candidate brings an innovative, collaborative presence to the role towards driving commercial and technology execution to realize business goals, lower costs, and meet sustainability targets. The candidate should have strong organizational skills to help map complex business processes across internal
Skills and Qualifications: Broad understanding of the power industry, with specific focus on the technical aspects of power markets. Strong analytical capabilities to support review of utility tariffs, power contracts and power market fundamentals in across the global cloud portfolio. Excellent business acumen and entrepreneurial, self-directed spirit. Team player with deep cross-group collaboration and problem-solving abilities. Exceptional interpersonal and communications (verbal and written) skills. Bachelors' degree in engineering or business and five years of experience in energy markets;
