The Azure Data team, which builds Microsoft's industry-leading data platform products including SQL Server and Azure services such as SQL DB, SQL DW and Cosmos DB, is looking for a Data Analyst. You'll be joining a team of passionate data professionals focused on reporting and analytics to support all aspects of our business. Our team builds and curates the end to end data pipeline and consumes that data for reporting, deep data analysis as well as advanced data science. We develop insights that are used across many scenarios including: increasing customer satisfaction, defining and tracking key business metrics and informing the future roadmap for the Data business. We are a highly collaborative team that works in close collaboration with our stakeholders and customers.
In this role, you'll partner with program managers, engineers and leaders across the Azure Data and broader Azure teams to provide timely and actionable insights aligned with the business's key strategic programs as well as perform deep analyses to understand customer usage patterns and behaviors in conjunction with our broader data engineering and data science team. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, business administration, economics, computer science or engineering or in place of 2+ years of internship or industry experience in an analytics-focused role 2+years' hands-on analytics experience with proven quantitative orientation Preferred Qualifications/Skills Master's degree in Statistics/Math/Computer Science/Economics/Business or Engineering Advanced working knowledge of large data manipulation and data mining using SQL Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, as well as visualization tools (familiarity with Power BI preferred)
