Build and improve language understanding models for intelligent assistant and search experiences to boost users' productivity, using both rule based system (for cold start) and ML approach. Data analysis to identify issues in language understanding and design, implement, experiment, and ship solutions to address these problems accordingly. Research on innovative technologies to scale language understanding across different domains and languages in a compliant way. Improve the online runtime and the offline experimentation platform for better runtime quality and performance, and higher experimentation
Required qualifications for this position include: 3+ years of experiences in applied science and software/service product development 2+ years of experience in NLP Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, and great team work skills Ph.D. or MS degree in computer science, EE or related fields is preferred Highly Desirable: Experience in ML/information retrieval Experience in large scale data mining and cloud computing Familiarity with big data framework, and parallel/ distributed processing such as Hadoop/Spark/ Dryad/Scope
