ComiXology, Amazon’s premiere digital comic reading experience, is looking for a UX Designer to help define the next generation of customer reading, purchasing and discovery experiences for digital comics, graphic novels, and manga. The comiXology design team is part of the Kindle Design Studio, the folks who design the book discovery and reading experience of the top rated iOS and Android apps, eReaders, tablets and more. This designer could be located in either in our New York City or our downtown Seattle, WA locations; travel between the two offices will be expected and encouraged. As a UX Designer on the comiXology team, you will have significant impact on Amazon’s digital comic experience, partnering with Amazon teams to bring end-to-end experiences to customers across the comiXology and Amazon Kindle services. You will collaborate with product managers, engineers, executives, and other designers, leading the design vision and project deliverables from rough sketches to working prototypes
· An online portfolio or samples of work demonstrating experience creating great end-to-end, user-centered design solutions and patterns, across desktop and mobile devices. · Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and analytical skills including the ability to communicate complex, interactive design concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization. · Capacity to own and delivers UX solutions for projects of medium-sized scope and complexity, largely independently, · High proficiency in design and prototype tools (Sketch, InVision,
