Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for an experienced Global Export Compliance Manager to support our business on a broad range of export compliance matters, including in the classification of hardware, software, and technology. In this role, you will interact with AWS Development, Datacenter Engineering, AWS Services, Operations, Procurement, Supply Chain, Legal, Tax, and other internal businesses and external stakeholders to drive export compliance. This position will report directly to the Head of Global Trade and Product Compliance (GPTC) for AWS in Seattle. AWS is at the forefront of providing a broad set of global cloud-based services including compute, storage, databases, networking, analytics, deep Machine learning, robotics, and enterprise applications, to help organizations move faster, lower IT costs, and scale. · Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution · 10+ years of direct experience with export regulations, include BIS and OFAC Regulatory regimes · Technical familiarity with encryption export control issues · 5+ years’ experience commensurate with extensive knowledge of exports in accordance with foreign government regulations · 5+ years’ experience in analyzing business problems using different tools (such as Microsoft Office, and statistical analysis) · 5+ years’ experience leveraging technology to drive process improvements · Master’s Degree is a plus, but not required · Information technology
