Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an experienced technical editor for AWS Events to project manage, edit, and execute on delivering high-quality conference content for AWS events, including Summits and re:Invent. This role will ensure the highest quality standards for AWS content that furthers the adoption and usage of the AWS Cloud computing platform. This is a great opportunity to play a key role in AWS, a subsidiary of Amazon.com and a global leader in cloud computing. In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to plan and coordinate the editing of a wide variety of content for AWS events. You will work closely with event content managers, who are responsible for planning and executing on event content strategy. The ideal candidates for this role will have at least four years’ experience editing in-depth content for developer and IT audiences and the ability to drive consistency and unity across complex content deliverables. · A minimum of 4 years of experience editing online or web content for a large software product or suite of software products · Degree in English, Technical Communication, or related field · Advanced grammar and rewriting skills · Developmental and copyediting skills · Knowledgeable in using tools to track and store content · Experience editing highly technical developer or systems administration documentation · Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communications skills · Project management and schedule management experience managing multiple projects and setting their schedules and priorities
