The Amazon Sustainability team is looking for a Business Intelligence Engineer to build critical data capabilities in our science, energy, environmental data, and transportation space. In this role, you will build data solutions that will drive decisions and actions to measure and reduce Amazon’s environmental impact. The ideal candidate is adept at addressing customer and stakeholder needs through data and work cross-functionally across scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders. Core responsibilities include: - Analyze and solve problems at their root, stepping back to understand the broader context. Turn research into actionable business intelligence - Recognize and adopt best practices in reporting and analysis, including data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and self-service automation - Develop scalable data solutions, queries, and visualizations for Sustainability and business stakeholders - Work closely with peers and stakeholders to identify, access, transform,
- Bachelor’s degree in statistics, computer science, mathematics, or related field - 3+ years of relevant experience in a business intelligence role, including using quantitative analysis, SQL, Excel, and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, QuickSight) - Proficiency with Python or R - Ability to deliver on ambiguous projects and work with complex datasets - Impeccable attention to detail and ability to check your own work - Be self-driven and show ability to deliver on ambiguous projects with incomplete or dirty data - MS degree in statistics, computer science, mathematics, or related field - Experience
