What is the team? The Workforce Staffing Research and Business Intelligence team is your opportunity to make an impact across multiple layers of the company and the hourly workforce as a whole. This team provides a unique voice for the hourly labor population within the United States and Canada, leading and influencing programs that enable Amazon to scale more efficiently. Here’s where you come in: What is the role? As a Survey Methodologist in Workforce Staffing, your work is focused on deeply understanding the people that make up our hourly workforce. You understand that even when hiring hundreds of thousands of hourly associates across multiple types of roles and businesses, the experience of each candidate matters. You leverage your deep expertise in survey design, questionnaire construction, sampling, cognitive interviews, and your understanding of human behavior to enable Amazon to better understand its hourly workforce. You use your deep expertise in statistical modeling to turn

- Advanced degree in a a discipline related to survey methodology, including psychology, economics, public health, etc. - 1+ years post-degree experience - demonstrated experience owning survey and questionnaires end-to-end, from design to execution to analysis and dissemination - Expertise in R and/or Python - Deep knowledge of survey design, questionnaire construction, and sampling techniques - Deep expertise with statistics, e.g. regressions. - Ability to turn complex problems into simple, testable hypotheses - Demonstrated ability collaborating with multiple teams and stakeholders. - Demonstrated
