The Mobile Shopping team is looking for a Support Engineer to join our team. We build the Amazon app for iOS and Android devices. We are a small team with a big impact: we own the systems that empower developers from across Amazon to deploy their features to a mobile audience. Come be a part of the team that owns one of the most popular apps in the world. As a Support Engineer on the Mobile Shopping team, we need you to help support this growth and scale by diving deep into complicated technical problems and make improvements across the app. You will drive investments in engineering excellence by tracking defects to their root cause, ensuring they are routed to the correct owner and fixed promptly. You will design and implement new policies and processes that enable Amazon to move fast on mobile and deliver a quality app for customers. You will work side-by-side with the world-class Amazon engineers who build the iOS and Android apps. You will fix bugs and take on coding tasks to build

· Working knowledge of scripting languages (Shell, pearl, ruby, etc...) and regular expressions · Some OO application development experience with Java, Objective C, or similar language · B.S. degree in Computer Science, MIS, CIS, or a related field· Experience programming mobile applications for iOS or Android · A strong understanding of web technologies · A strong understanding of UNIX/Linux operating systems · Ability to write intermediate level database queries including SQL skills · Excellence in technical communications with both technical and non-technical peers · Excellent problem solving
