Amazon is seeking a State and Local Senior Tax Analyst based at its Seattle headquarters to join the State and Local Tax Special Projects Team. The Tax Department is a fast-paced, team-focused, dynamic environment where attention to detail and strong communication and analytical skills are essential. This individual will be a key member of the team and will have exposure to Amazon’s various business activities. The successful candidate will be extremely familiar with Washington State’s various excise taxes but will also work on other state income and sales/use tax issues. Audit defense and state tax litigation experience is a plus. The position will coordinate with various tax compliance teams, the state tax planning team, legal, and public policy on a variety of state tax matters. As a result, the successful candidate must be able to communicate complex tax concepts in a straightforward manner that is useful and meaningful.
