Data science and machine learning are quickly and fundamentally transforming businesses all around the world but operating in this space comes with unique challenges. Data scientists report that they spend up to 80% of their time shaping, cleaning, transforming, and preparing their data before it can be used for machine learning. Our charter in the Data Preparation team is to make it easier, faster, and more robust to ingest data from multiple sources and deliver to AI applications. To do this, we are building a set of APIs and applications targeting professional data scientists that aim to tackle some of the hardest problems in the space: non-rectangular data, varying schemas, big data, data troubleshooting and debugging, amongst others. All of this built to target both scale-up and scale-out environments.
We are looking for engineers with a solid track record of delivering end-to-end customer facing features. In this role, you will work with other engineers and be responsible for designing, implementing and testing new features, and delighting our customers with top quality and performance. This role participates deeply in all phases of the development cycle (design, development, validation).
3+ years engineering experience including experience shipping high quality customer-facing software Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent, or equivalent work experience Strong design, and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently, work smart, manage multiple priorities and deliverables concurrently in a fast-paced environment, and deliver all this at high quality Passion to delight our customers Expertise in C# Expertise in Scala Expertise with Python and/or C++ a plus
