Speech is a leading Natural User Interface (NUI) and being integrated into an accelerating number of Microsoft products and applications! Speech has become more accurate and its application has become more useful - especially for customer experiences in the areas of command and control, task completion, web search, and dictation. It serves as the core to Cortana, HoloLens, Speech Translation, and 3rd party apps through our public Cognitive Services APIs. You will also work with experts in the areas of recognition and modeling (machine learning and classification) to develop robust and scalable speech software
Software development tasks include designing, implementing, and optimizing, high performance components and algorithms that make up the real-time recognition engines. You'll introduce telemetry to measure the behavior of your components and continue to enhance and implement new features. Ideal candidates for this position would have strong programming and algorithm design skills, a passion for AI/ML and a demonstrated ability to deliver high quality features in a highly collaborative team environment.
4+ years of software engineering experience is required for Bachelor degree applicants, or 2+ years for Master's or higher degree Preferred Qualifications: Background in speech recognition or ML Outstanding C/C++ coding skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Results-oriented free thinkers with ability to socialize and drive their ideas into the technology are highly desired
