The Azure Search team is looking for a web developer passionate about creating rich experiences for Azure Search users in the Azure Portal - one of the largest single page web apps in the world written in TypeScript. Azure Search is a global, fully managed, cloud-based search-as-a-service solution that makes it easy to integrate a robust set of search capabilities into any application. Over the last few years the service has gone through tremendous growth expanding into new market segments and enabling new customer scenarios. Azure Search Portal is the face of the product. It has two functions. First, educating new customers about the capabilities of the service, second, allowing existing customers to manage the service effectively. That's why being an Azure Search Portal developer carries a lot of responsibility but also gives plenty opportunities to impact customers' satisfaction and business growth on daily basis. Upon joining the team, you will: Design and develop new experiences in the Azure Search extension of the Azure Portal Design and deliver infrastructure that allows the engineering team to observe customer
3+ years of software development experience is highly desirable. 2+ years of experience building UI in production using JavaScript or TypeScript Excellent coding skills, including server-side language experience (C#, ASP.NET) Strong sense of design and an ease-of-use mindset Passion for creating simple and functional UX Familiarity with software testing (experience with UI testing is a plus) Experience with Knockout, React and Redux is a plus Be comfortable communicating with customers directly through various mediums such as blogs, articles, Twitter, etc. Interest in working on the intersection
