As part of the SQL Server Tools team you will work on features in Azure Data Studio ( https://github.com/microsoft/azuredatastudio ). This is an open source, v1 product built to run on macOS, Linux and Windows with a modern UI (Electron, Node.js and Typescript) and a micro-service backend. It is still early in the roadmap of Azure Data Studio and we have numerous opportunities for growth and technical leadership in the years ahead. As a team we often integrate with cutting-edge technologies from Microsoft Research such as the Microsoft Program Synthesis ( https://github.com/microsoft/prose ) APIs
Successful candidates will have the following basic qualifications: Sc. in Computer Science (or equivalent), Master/PhD preferred 5 or more years of experience working on commercially shipping software projects Strong problem-solving skills and proven experience with HTML5/CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, Angular or React frameworks Experience with C#, .NET, T-SQL, Kubernetes, Hadoop, and Spark are all plusses.
