We are looking for a strong Software Engineer to help design and build the next set of features and infrastructure that will help define how cloud native applications are built. This is a unique opportunity to help build cutting-edge services and support strategic initiatives that are key to the overall company direction. Azure Functions enables developers to build powerful and scalable apps without having to deal with the complexity of operating distributed and scalable systems. Our engineering team is responsible for building the platform that large enterprises are looking to leverage, and for implementing features that delight our customers. We plan to continue to innovate in this area and are looking for someone to help build out the capabilities of Azure Functions – including authentication / authorization, elastic scale of VM infrastructure, and complex workflow (Durable Functions). Designing, coding, validating, documenting, and shipping scenarios related to supporting Azure Functions Working with open source software and communities Investigate, analyze, and troubleshoot live site issues to resolution
2 years professional software development experience Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience Preferred: Computer science fundamentals in object-oriented design and data structures Strong interpersonal skills, written, and oral communication skills Proficiency in C#/.NET and related technologies Development experience with distributed systems and cloud services Experience working on or with open source software projects Experience with performance analysis and tuning Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this
