The Social Advertising team owns Amazon's automated advertising on Social Media networks such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Pinterest. Our mission is to understand our customers in these social settings to create engaging and relevant ads that delight customers by helping them find the products and Amazon services they want (even when they didn't already know they wanted them). We are responsible for identifying, experimenting with, and scaling social media advertising opportunities that generate immediate and long-term value for Amazon. We are focused on building automated advertising programs, currently live in 12 countries that drive efficiency at scale with WW parity. We aggressively experiment with new and emerging social networks to unlock new advertising opportunities that can be scaled. Our engineering team builds self-optimizing, ad personalization engines that leverage integrated Machine Learning, massive data processing and adaptive algorithms to deliver ad performance
· 3+ years of experience managing software engineers (including hiring, performance evaluations, etc.) · Strong software design skills and experience with architecting highly-scalable and low latency systems · A strong foundation in Computer Science fundamentals, such as algorithms and data structures · Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment · A deep understanding of cross-functional, multiple-team based software development · Excellent communications skills · Self-directed and capable of working effectively in a dynamic environment · Passion for solving complex
