The Last Mile team helps get packages from delivery stations to a customer’s doorstep. To provide new innovations for customers, we are inventing the next-generation smart delivery operation. We are combining cutting-edge IoT technologies (sensors, embedded devices, wearables, and robotics), data streams (video, vehicle telematics, location, and presence), together with machine learning models and algorithms – all to create solutions that allow us to deliver faster, and with more confidence. Playing a key role in the IoT team, as a Software Development Manager you will be responsible for building and growing a team of multi-disciplinary engineers covering hardware design, mobile and server-side application development, cloud infrastructure, and data design at scale. You will work with, and be a trusted partner for your counterparts in product management, UX/UI, operations, and finance teams. You will bring a strong engineering management background and experience to stand out as a senior
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience · 10+ years of development experience in industrial and consumer products · 5+ years of experience leading, managing, and developing high-performing engineering teams · Experience as a leader of leaders (managing other managers and senior engineers)· Masters or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field · First-hand management or development experience in IoT, mobile/embedded devices, sensors, and sensing technologies and solutions · Experience with leading edge technologies
